What is USAT?

USAT is a university studies admission test, which was conducted last year for the first time at the undergraduate level to check the caliber of students. As last year students gain marks more than their expectations and caliber due to coronavirus, so there was a need to check the caliber of students, so that intelligent students may be separated from dull students.

Due to this reason, the USAT came into the field. It is held by HEC and comprises all the study areas. It is designed on the pattern of the USAT. Many governments, as well as private universities In Pakistan, accept the results of the USAT to calculate the aggregate of students seeking admission at the undergraduate level.

Categories:

USAT is designed in different categories, it is different for every intermediate discipline. i.e the USAT for pre-medical students is USAT(M) and for pre Engineering students is USAT(E). All the USAT categories are mentioned below:

The test pattern of the USAT

The USAT syllabus for every intermediate discipline is different. i.e the syllabus for pre-medical students would be different than pre-engineering. But the general portion of all the USAT tests would be the almost same, a comprehensive test pattern of USAT is given below:

Part-1

Number of Questions: 75 MCQs

Time Allowed: 100 minutes

Division of 75 MCQs

Verbal Reasoning: 20

Quantitative Reasoning: 25

Subject Knowledge: 30

Part-2

Essay Writing: 400-500 words (English or Urdu)

Marks:25

Time: 40 minutes
